2. Why we collect it
We use your information only for legitimate club purposes, namely:
- To manage and administer your membership;

- To keep you safe at events and getaways (for example, emergency and medical information);

3. Your consent
By signing your membership agreement, you consent to us processing your information for the purposes above. You may withdraw your consent, or change your choices about the directory, marketing or event photography, at any time by writing to us.
4. Who we share it with
We will never sell, rent or trade your information. We share it only where necessary to run the club — for example, with a service provider who helps us deliver an event — and only under a duty of confidentiality. We will never share your information with anyone else without your explicit consent, unless the law requires it.
5. How we protect it
We keep your information secure through measures including restricted access (only those who need it can see it), secure and access-controlled storage, two-factor authentication on our accounts, and limiting the sensitive information any team member can access. We keep your information only as long as we need it, and securely delete it after that.
6. Your rights under POPIA
You have the right to:
- Ask what information we hold about you and request a copy;
- Ask us to correct or update your information;
- Ask us to delete your information where we no longer need it;
- Object to, or opt out of, the business directory or marketing; and
- Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa.
